West Ham United are reportedly keen on signing Brighton left-back Bernardo, according to Sky Sports.
However, The Hammers face competition for his signature from fellow Premier League side Newcastle United as well as Turkish Super Lig club Istanbul Basaksehir.
David Moyes is believed to be interested in the 25-year-old, who made 14 Premier League appearances for the Seagulls last term, with a season-long thought to be the preferred option.
Having impressed during his first season in England, the Brazilian is now a wanted man as both Moyes and Steve Bruce look to strengthen their squads ahead of the new campaign.
The left-back arrived on the South Coast from RB Leipzig in 2018 for a reported £9 million and has since made 43 appearances for the club, although he found himself out of the picture last term, replaced in Graham Potter’s side by Dan Burn.

Moyes is clearly keen to bolster his left-back options and with experience in the league, and with affordable wages and fee, Bernando presents a viable option.
The Hammers would be wise to act fast if they hope to make the move happen, as talks between the South Coast club and Istanbul Basaksehir are thought to be at an advanced stage.
