# Napoli make £24million bid for Pablo Fornals

Serie A club Napoli have made a £24 million bid for West Ham attacking midfielder Pablo Fornals, according to [The Express](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1329562/West-Ham-News-Mario-Gotze-Moussa-Marega).

The Hammers are said to be ‘currently weighing up’ the offer from the Italian club, managed by former AC Milan legend Genaro Gattuso.

Should David Moyes sanction the departure of Fornals, a £24 million deal would replicate the exact amount paid to bring the Spaniard to the London Stadium last summer from Villareal.

Fornals, who has been capped twice by Spain, made 40 appearances in all competitions for Moyes’ side last term, scoring four goals.

The 24-year-old flattered to deceive at times during his debut season in the Premier League and Moyes may look to cash in now and go down a different route.

With only two league goals, Fornals did not adapt as well as many might’ve hoped, albeit it was his first season in a new country having previously only plied his trade in La Liga.

Undoubtedly a talent and still young, there is every opportunity the Hammers will give Fornals another bite at English top-flight football.

However a recouping of the £24 million spent on the misfiring star may be too tempting to dismiss, especially as he was a player who Moyes inherited rather than one who he signed himself.
