Jack Wilshere is open to a move to the USA to play in the MLS if he leaves West Ham this summer, according to a report by the Evening Standard.
The Hammers are said to be keen to get Wilshere’s £100,000-a-week wages off their books by any means possible.
The 28-year-old midfielder may seek to reignite his career in America after a turbulent time since joining West Ham from Arsenal in 2018.
After a cluster of all too familiar injuries, Wilshere has only made six Premier League starts in two seasons.
As the Hammers look to relieve themselves of some of the former England man’s wages, a switch to the US has now emerged as a potential option and Wilshere is open to the idea.

Once heralded as a star, Wilshere had the world at his feet, although repeated injury woes have seen him fail to reach his potential.
Still, with one year left on his contract at the London Stadium, a loan move could be an option this summer, although the Hammers would almost certainly be expected to contribute to his wages.
One potential MLS club interested in the ex-England man could be Inter Miami, David Beckham’s new franchise who are looking to make statement signings.
Whilst paying the wages of Wilshere to play elsewhere is hardly the ideal situation for West Ham to be in, it looks like the best option for the club, which speaks to how big a mess the club have found themselves in.
