# West Ham and Tottenham join the race to sign Loren Moron

West Ham and Tottenham are both chasing Real Betis striker Loren Moron according to a report from [Mundo Deportivo](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/betis/20200820/482913978330/oferta-de-la-premier-por-el-betico-loren.html).

There has already reportedly been a bid of £11 million from an unnamed club rejected by the La Liga outfit but Betis are believed to want closer to £18 million for the Spaniard, despite him having a £45 million release clause.

In the current financial climate, Betis, who are managed by former Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini, have set their valuation lower in order to bring much-needed funds into the club.

Moron scored 10 goals in La Liga last term and his performances has seemingly attracted the interest of  Jose Mourinho and David Moyes

Moron has spent much of his senior career at Betis’ Estadio Benito Villamarín, since joining the Seville-based club in 2015 from Marbella FC.

The Spaniard’s lack of prolific goalscoring record, as well as him never plying his trade outside of his home nation, may put off many, however at £18 million and with him possessing plenty more to his game than simply goals, Moron could be a beneficial addition to the Hammers squad if a deal can be done.
