West Ham are interested in signing Bordeaux striker Josh Maja this summer, according to a report from Sky Sports.
As anybody who watched the Netflix documentary Sunderland ‘Til I Die will know, Maja left The Black Cats to join Bordeaux in January 2019 as the League One club were forced to cash in on him as he was about to be out of contract.
Maja is apparently very happy at Bordeaux but the early curtailment of the French football season has left them with some serious financial worries and as such, they may be forced into selling players.
West Ham manager David Moyes is apparently keen to bring in a new forward player and as such, the Hammers have joined Steven Gerrard’s Rangers in the race for the 21-year-old.

It looks like Moyes will have an approach of signing younger players with the potential to grow and develop this summer.
Given that the Hammers have had some pretty big misses in the market, that policy might be worth a try and as such, a move for Maja could be a good one for West Ham, depending on the transfer fee.
