Albian Ajeti stalls on Celtic move as another club make contact with him

Respected West Ham United insider ExWHUEmployee, who is often correct about issues related to the Hammers, recently took to Twitter to explain why Albian Ajeti’s loan move to Celtic has stalled.

He reported that the Swiss international had asked for more time to mull over his options before deciding whether to make the move to the Scottish champions.

Our sister site Read Celtic are reporting that a source has informed them that an unnamed club have asked Ajeti to wait before signing his Celtic deal as they too are considering making a move to sign the 23-year-old.

Celtic had agreed to take Ajeti on loan with a view to completing a permanent deal for the Swiss forward in the summer but that could now be in doubt.

This situation could work in West Ham’s favour if the other club interested in the forward are willing to buy him immediately, rather than waiting until next year.

We don’t know the full details of the interest from the other club but if they’re looking for a permanent deal, then West Ham would almost certainly be keener for him to go there to get the transfer fee in the bank immediately.

matchday.
