Carlos Tevez delights fans with latest message
Many West Ham United fans have reacted to a message from former striker Carlos Tevez regarding the important footballers can play at this testing time across the world.
The current standstill in football due to recent events has seen a number of footballers come out and offer support to fans and organisations over the last few weeks.
A recent debate over player wages has also seen the likes of Barcelona make wage cuts which the players themselves agreed to, and Tevez has now come out with a passionate message in support of those suffering with problems.
Currently playing in Argentina’s Superliga with Boca Juniors, Tevez is currently away from football after a latest nationwide lockdown in the South American country.
Tevez’s comments follow action from the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe and Robert Lewandowski, who have all made donations to organisations dealing with the spread of COVID-19.
The former Argentina international spent one season with West Ham during the 2006/2007 season where he scored seven goals in 29 appearances, before making a move to Premier League rivals Manchester United.
Leaving Old Trafford in 2009 for Manchester City, Tevez has since had spells with Juventus, Shanghai Shenhua and now with Boca.
Following Tevez’s message, countless West Ham fans reacted via social media and below are just a few of those.
