Hammers fans split over Yarmolenko

Andriy Yarmolenko has shown flashes of brilliance during his time at West Ham United and many Hammers fans can’t make their mind up about him.

The winger joined the London club from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2018, signing a four-year deal with Manuel Pellegrini’s side (BBC Sport).

However, the Ukraine international has had a very stuttering career with the club so far.

The winger only made nine appearances in the Premier League in his first season at the club, managing to get his name on the scoresheet twice in the process (PremierLeague.com).

He began this season brightly, scoring in successive matches against Manchester United and AFC Bournemouth, before being ruled out with injury.

His fitness problems have halted his West Ham progress but despite this, the player made it clear that he is ready to stay at West Ham, despite rumours of an exit.

Many Hammers fans on Twitter can’t make their mind up about him. Some want him to leave whilst others feel he is quality and should stay.

matchday.
