Hammers fans feeling emotional ahead of replay of farewell Boleyn match

In May 2016, West Ham United waved goodbye to the famous Boleyn ground with a victory over Manchester United and many Hammers fans are emotional ahead of the club’s replay of the match.

West Ham’s official Twitter account announced that the replay of the entire match will be available for fans to watch on their YouTube channel as well as on their mobile devices.

The Hammers marked their departure from Upton Park with a famous victory over United, with the goals coming from Diafra Sakho, Michail Antonio and Winston Reid (BBC Sport)

Reid netted the winner with just ten minutes remaining, sparking wild scenes all around the stadium.

It was an incredibly emotional day for everyone associated with the Hammers, leaving behind their famous stadium after 112 years.

After full-time, the club held a 45-minute long celebration of the stadium with the players doing a lap of honour around the pitch.
