# Chelsea fans react to West Ham fan’s proposed swap deal

Chelsea [are interested](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11668/11962456/chelsea-interested-in-signing-declan-rice-from-west-ham) in signing Declan Rice this summer and many of the club’s fans have reacted as one West Ham supporter proposed a swap deal.

The fan wants to see Ruben Loftus-Cheek move to the London Stadium if Rice goes in the opposite direction and plenty of Chelsea fans have laughed off the suggestion.

As reported on [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11668/11962456/chelsea-interested-in-signing-declan-rice-from-west-ham) on Monday, the Blues are interested in taking Rice to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

Rice has been a standout performer for the Hammers so far this season, playing every single minute of Premier League action so far this term ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/declan-rice/leistungsdaten/spieler/357662)).

This proves his importance to the team and the England international also recently signed a [long-term deal](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/12/28/declan-rice-signs-new-deal-keep-west-ham-2024/)with the club, which should ease fears of him leaving.

Loftus-Cheek has spent many months on the sidelines after suffering an injury during a friendly last season, forcing him to miss the UEFA Nations League with England and also the UEFA Europa League final ([Football365](https://www.football365.com/news/loftus-cheek-to-miss-europa-final-nations-league-with-injury)).

These Chelsea fans [on Twitter](https://twitter.com/willearle_/status/1242127891925807108) clearly were not in favour of swapping Loftus-Cheek for Rice.
