# West Ham fans react as Noble voted club’s greatest Premier League captain

As reported by [Claret and Hugh](https://www.claretandhugh.info/noble-crowned-greatest-west-ham-captain/), Mark Noble has been voted as West Ham United’s greatest ever Premier League captain and plenty of Hammers fans have reacted to the news.

As stated in [the report](https://www.claretandhugh.info/noble-crowned-greatest-west-ham-captain/), the website ran a poll and Noble was the clear winner, getting over 48% of the votes from supporters.

The Englishman is still the skipper of the Hammers and has written himself into the history books of the club, with many fans [terming](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2015/december/22-december/mark-noble-mr-west-ham) him as “Mr West Ham”.

The midfielder has made 375 Premier League appearances for the London club, scoring 46 times in the process whilst also providing 33 assists ([PremierLeague.com](https://www.premierleague.com/players/3014/Mark-Noble/stats?co=1&se=-1)).

Noble has been the subject of [criticism](https://readwestham.com/2020/03/09/west-ham-fans-want-noble-to-be-dropped/) from some parts of the fanbase after a couple of poor displays but he finished ahead of Kevin Nolan in the poll, who received over 22% of the votes.

Many West Ham fans [on Twitter](https://twitter.com/westhamfootball/status/1241691657936023552) can’t believe that Noble came out on top because they feel others are more worthy.
