# West Ham fans not keen on the club signing Jordan Lukaku

According to [Football London](https://www.football.london/west-ham-united-fc/transfer-news/moyes-west-ham-starting-xi-17964469), West Ham United may look to bolster their left-back department this summer, but many fans don’t want the club to target Jordan Lukaku.

The Belgian international has had some terrible luck with injuries recently, making just two Serie A appearances for Lazio this season ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jordan-lukaku/leistungsdaten/spieler/140804)).

He missed the first four league matches of the season as he was recovering from knee surgery, before he again injured his knee, forcing him to miss multiple matches throughout December and January.

He has been on the bench for the last six league matches and is one of the names being [linked](https://www.football.london/west-ham-united-fc/transfer-news/moyes-west-ham-starting-xi-17964469) with the Hammers.

Aaron Cresswell[isn’t exaclty a fan favourite](https://readwestham.com/2020/03/09/west-ham-fans-are-not-pleased-with-cresswell-after-arsenal-defeat/) at the moment, with many of the club’s supporters wanting him [replaced](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league/west-ham/west-ham-united-fans-tear-into-aaron-cresswell-after-stat-emerges/) in the summer transfer window.

Arthur Masuaku has also been in poor form this term but these Hammers fans [on Twitter](https://twitter.com/WHUFCFZ/status/1241636911971741696) don’t see Lukaku as the answer to their problems in that position.

> Twitter: @WHUFCFZ @Football\_LDN just another masuaku cant defend but ok attack (@barritelli)

> Twitter: @WHUFCFZ @Football\_LDN Not worth anything like that kind of money ! (@garyjones68)

> Twitter: @WHUFCFZ @Football\_LDN What a waste of money. He can’t defend! (@\_de\_meyer\_)

> Twitter: @WHUFCFZ @Football\_LDN God no. Awfull footballer wouldn’t even pay 10 million for him. Masuaku is better at defendi… https://t.co/uRGDUhIgMd (@afrowanny)

> Twitter: @WHUFCFZ @Football\_LDN Need better, Lukaku is another fullback who can go forward but not defend and for that quote… https://t.co/FgnvMaeZGV (@BrysonJoe6)

> Twitter: @WHUFCFZ @Football\_LDN Linked with him again price is high & not what we need especially if sticking with 4 at the back. (@Futball4All)
