Hammers fans react to rumour that Soucek could be made captain

According to Claret and Hugh, Tomas Soucek could be made West Ham United’s next club captain if he signs on a permanent basis this summer and many fans have provided their reaction to this report.

The midfielder is currently on loan until the end of June but the Hammers have the option to sign him permanently for £13m (BBC Sport).

As stated in the report, the Hammers have been really pleased with his qualities and could be plotting to hand him the armband.

Soucek has only appeared for the London club four times since joining in the January transfer window and recently returned from an injury which he suffered during the 3-2 defeat to Liverpool.

With the Premier League currently suspended, the midfielder has been keeping himself fit in isolation, going for jogs around his local area.

Some fans on Twitter can’t believe that he is being lined up as the next captain whilst others feel it could be a good decision.
