According to the Daily Mail, no West Ham United players have tested positive for the virus that is causing havoc worldwide and many Hammers fans have reacted to the news.
Several people involved with the Premier League have had symptoms of the virus recently, with Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta and Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi being some of the most high profile names to test positive (BBC Sport).
As stated in the report, Hammers boss David Moyes and his staff have been in isolation after meeting Arteta during the league encounter between the Gunners and West Ham, which Arsenal won 1-0 after Alexandre Lacazette’s goal with 12 minutes remaining.
Defensive midfielder Declan Rice also took a huge risk by meeting up with Chelsea star Mason Mount, who was supposed to be in isolation but thankfully, the virus has not spread to him or anyone else in the West Ham squad yet.
Some fans on Twitter showed their delight, whilst others took a humorous approach to respond to the news.
