Moyes should give Ajeti another chance to prove himself

Albian Ajeti has only played 126 Premier League minutes for West Ham United since joining last summer and we believe he deserves a proper chance.

The Swiss international has not started a top-flight match for the Hammers yet and has only been handed starts in cup matches, such as the FA Cup defeat to West Bromwich Albion at the London Stadium.

Admittedly, Ajeti was poor in that encounter but so were the entire team that started on that day. Some Hammers fans aren’t too pleased with what they’ve seen so far either.

The attacker has had to be very patient and has not even been in the matchday squad for the last four league matches (Transfermarkt).

But, we feel he deserves a chance as he has not been given a proper opportunity in the league yet.

It’s very difficult to impact a match when coming on for a few minutes. For example, he came on for six minutes during the 1-1 draw with Everton in January, hardly any time to make a significant contribution.

We feel that these cameo appearances are not allowing the player to give a proper display of his talent and ability.

Secondly, he’s a proven goalscorer.

Last season, the 23-year-old found the net 21 times in all competitions. By giving him a run of games in the team, we feel Ajeti may be able to rediscover that goalscoring form for the Hammers.
