# Man Utd fans desperate to see Jones leave amid West Ham interest

According to [The Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/newcastle-offer-phil-jones-premier-21693802), West Ham United are interested in signing Manchester United defender Phil Jones and many fans of the Red Devils seem delighted to hear that news.

As stated in[the report](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/newcastle-offer-phil-jones-premier-21693802), Newcastle United and the Hammers are considering a summer move for the Englishman, who is heavily out of favour at Old Trafford at the moment.

The defender could be allowed to leave[for around £12m](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/newcastle-offer-phil-jones-premier-21693802) at the end of the season and he is understood to be open to making a move as he seeks regular first-team football.

Jones has rarely featured for United this season, playing just eight times across all competitions ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/phil-jones/leistungsdaten/spieler/117996)) and many of the club’s fans seemingly want to see him offloaded this summer.

The centre-back is[hugely experienced](https://www.premierleague.com/players/3820/Phil-Jones/stats) but clearly isn’t a fan-favourite as many fans[on Twitter](https://twitter.com/UnitedStandMUFC/status/1239467585160298496) showed their desperation for him to be sold at the end of the current campaign.
