According to The Mirror, West Ham United are interested in signing Manchester United defender Phil Jones and many fans of the Red Devils seem delighted to hear that news.
As stated in the report, Newcastle United and the Hammers are considering a summer move for the Englishman, who is heavily out of favour at Old Trafford at the moment.
The defender could be allowed to leave for around £12m at the end of the season and he is understood to be open to making a move as he seeks regular first-team football.
Jones has rarely featured for United this season, playing just eight times across all competitions (Transfermarkt) and many of the club’s fans seemingly want to see him offloaded this summer.
The centre-back is hugely experienced but clearly isn’t a fan-favourite as many fans on Twitter showed their desperation for him to be sold at the end of the current campaign.
