# Hammers insider reveals why Ajeti isn’t starting games

West Ham United insider [ExWHUemployee](https://twitter.com/ExWHUemployee) believes that manager David Moyes does not rate striker Albian Ajeti.

The Swiss international has not started a single Premier League match this season ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/albian-ajeti/leistungsdaten/spieler/195906)) and has not even been in the Hammers matchday squad for recent matches.

Speaking on [The West Ham Way podcast](https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/3-the-west-ham-way-podcast-11th-march-2020/id1500580072?i=1000468142259) (11/03/2020), Ex said:

> People tell me on the training pitch that he’s a decent finisher. I just don’t think Moyes thinks he is ready to play in the Premier League.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Unfortunately, we agree.

Ajeti has been given a chance in cup competitions this season to prove himself, but he failed to seize the opportunities.

He was particularly disappointing during the [1-0 defeat at home](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51208500) to Championship side West Bromwich Albion in the FA Cup, having just 28 touches and playing one key pass throughout the entire encounter ([WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1443397/LiveStatistics/England-FA-Cup-2019-2020-West-Ham-West-Bromwich-Albion)).

[Last summer’s arrival](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49276391) has not been involved in the last four league games and [many Hammers fans agree](https://readwestham.com/2020/03/09/hammers-fans-feel-ajeti-isnt-good-enough-to-be-in-the-squad/) that he is not good enough to be in the squad on matchdays.

In January, the forward [revealed his desire](https://readwestham.com/2020/01/10/ajeti-ready-to-have-an-impact-at-west-ham/) to start having an impact at the club, but he is seemingly not being allowed to do so, so we feel that maybe a move away at the end of the season would end this nightmare stint at the London club.
