West Ham insider predicts whether Wolves clash will go ahead

West Ham United insider ExWHUemployee has predicted that the Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers will go ahead amid Coronavirus concerns.

He took to Twitter to reveal that although he is not fully confident about what will come next, he feels that this weekend’s match at the London Stadium will be fine.

He also feels that the match will not be played behind closed doors and made it clear that he is only making an educated guess and is not giving his answer based on any inside information.

There are growing concerns that the virus could affect the football calendar and indeed, it already has after Manchester City’s clash with Arsenal, scheduled for tonight, was called off by the Premier League.

That is because some Arsenal personnel came into contact with Olympiacos owner Evangelos Marinakis a couple of weeks ago, who has been named as a positive case of COVID-19.

We feel that if there are fears of any Arsenal players having the virus, then the same fear should be there for West Ham’s squad.

This is because the Hammers played against Arsenal last weekend, with many of the players and backroom staff embracing and shaking the hands of the north London side’s employees.

We feel that the Premier League should wait no longer than Thursday night to make a concrete decision about whether to suspend this weekend’s match because Wolves are involved in the Europa League and will need some advanced notice about what is happening, as well as fans from both teams who are planning to travel to the London Stadium.
