Wolves fans want to see more of Podence and that could suit West Ham

Many Wolverhampton Wanderers fans want to see more of Daniel Podence and we believe it could suit West Ham if he starts against them.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side travel to London to take on the Hammers in the Premier League this weekend.

The January arrival came on against Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend but could not help Wolves find the net.

These fans on Twitter want to see him playing more.

Twitter: @Wolves Definately got alot of energy, but need to play him more,I would give him a start Thursday 👍 (@DowningEddy)

However, we feel that if the 24-year-old starts on the weekend, it will suit the Hammers.

Podence hasn’t started a Premier League match yet and has only featured for 42 league minutes since he arrived at Wolves.

Podence replaced Diogo Jota against Brighton in the 74th minute (BBC Sport) and we believe that if he is handed a start, he may come in for either Jota or Raul Jimenez.

This could be great news for David Moyes because both attackers are in fine goalscoring form, so seeing one of them drop out of the team could lessen their attacking threat.

Jota has 15 goals in all competitions, while Jimenez has netted 22 times this term (Transfermarkt).

Being without one of the two could provide the West Ham defence with a boost, allowing them to be more confident and less wary of two of Wolves’ most dangerous forwards.

However, much will depend on Nuno’s team selection in the Europa League this Thursday, but starting Podence at the London Stadium could give the Hammers the advantage they need to get a positive result.
