# Rice’s comment on Ngakia’s Instagram post will please fans

Jeremy Ngakia continued his [run of starts](https://twitter.com/WestHam/status/1236290505450885122) for West Ham United against Arsenal last Saturday and teammate Declan Rice summed up his display with a comment on Instagram.

The Hammers were [defeated at the Emirates Stadium](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51685402) after Alexandre Lacazette netted in the second half.

Ngakia was set for a tough afternoon against Gabon international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but did very well to limit the danger of the Arsenal forward.

Ngakia [took to Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/p/B9cmKISl3Ys/) to show his pride after playing alongside fellow English youngster Eddie Nketiah.

Rice replied to the picture, saying “looking at home bro”, followed by a love heart emoji.

### Read West Ham verdict

Many Hammers fans should be delighted with Rice’s response because firstly, it’s true!

The right-back has settled in brilliantly, proven by the fact that he has played four matches in a row in the top-flight, including twice against Liverpool ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jeremy-ngakia/leistungsdaten/spieler/503795)).

Furthermore, Ngakia made two tackles, two interceptions, and one clearance in north London ([WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1376226/LiveStatistics/England-Premier-League-2019-2020-Arsenal-West-Ham)), which was significantly better than Arsenal’s experienced defender Sokratis, who operated at right-back.

It will also be particularly pleasing to see that Rice, who [broke through](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40908330) in similar circumstances to Ngakia, is now showing support to the 19-year-old, thereby increasing his confidence.

It is almost captain-like behaviour from Rice, who himself is still young, which could show that there is a great togetherness and unity within the squad at the moment.
