Moyes has to drop Noble in favour of Soucek against Wolves

David Moyes needs to seriously consider dropping club captain Mark Noble from West Ham United’s starting team.

The Englishman put in another passive display last Saturday during the 1-0 defeat against Arsenal and many of the club’s fans want to see him dropped in favour of Tomas Soucek.

We agree.

Noble had zero shots, made zero tackles, zero interceptions and blocked zero shots during the encounter with Mikel Arteta’s side (WhoScored).

These statistics don’t make for good viewing when compared to midfield partner Declan Rice, who made two tackles, two interceptions, two clearances and two blocked shots (WhoScored).

With figures like that, we feel Noble can’t continue getting selected in the team, especially ahead of Soucek who has played pretty well since his arrival in January.

We believe that Moyes needs to be brave and drop the skipper because he can’t keep selecting him based on his current form as doing so could result in the team dropping down to the Championship.

In just one half during the 3-2 defeat to Liverpool, Soucek made seven clearances, two interceptions and one tackle (WhoScored) and because of this ability to affect the game, we feel he should be starting against Wolves.

As much as Noble has done for the team over the years, we feel that Moyes needs to do what is likely to get the best result on the pitch and at the moment, we feel there’s a higher chance of a positive result with Soucek in midfield than Noble.
