# West Ham fans confident that Ngakia won’t need support against Arsenal

Many West Ham fans don’t want manager David Moyes to change his starting line-up to provide extra help for young defender Jeremy Ngakia.

The teenage defender has broken into the first team under Moyes and could face a tough test against prolific Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has been operating on the left flank under new boss Mikel Arteta.

Many Hammers fans want to see Moyes sticking with the same XI that [defeated Southampton 3-1](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51595061) last weekend, rather than seeing Robert Snodgrass recalled over Jarrod Bowen to provide extra cover for Ngakia.

The Englishman has made three top-flight appearances this season ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jeremy-ngakia/leistungsdaten/spieler/503795)), with two of them coming against league-leaders Liverpool, who boast one of the best attacks in world football.

Ngakia looked settled in those matches and is set to face up to Aubameyang, who has [17 league goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/pierre-emerick-aubameyang/leistungsdaten/spieler/58864) this season, including three in his last two top-flight appearances.

These fans [on Twitter](https://twitter.com/westhamtransfer/status/1235615827149443072) don’t want any changes to the line-up because they feel Ngakia is good enough to stop the Gabon international.
