West Ham United travel to north London this Saturday to face Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in the Premier League.

The Hammers go into the game after a [morale-boosting victory](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51595061) over Southampton at the London Stadium last weekend.

Jarrod Bowen, Michail Antonio and Sebastien Haller all found the net to help the team to a 3-1 victory, lifting them [out of the relegation zone](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) on goal difference.

As for the Gunners, they come into the game after progressing into the quarter-finals of the FA Cup by[beating Portsmouth](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51697793) on Monday night.

The last time the two London clubs met in the league, the Gunners secured a [3-1 victory](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50625463) after goals from Gabriel Martinelli, Nicolas Pepe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, marking the club’s first victory under interim manager Freddie Ljungberg.

The Hammers will be keen to avoid a repeat of that performance and result and will need to do a few things well to ensure they get a positive result.

Apart from the obvious (score goals and don’t concede), we’ve listed five things the Hammers may need to do to overcome Arsenal.
