Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed that he is still in contact with West Ham United boss David Moyes and we believe this shows the positive character of the Scotland man.
The Spaniard, who played under Moyes during his time at Everton, revealed to Arsenal’s official website how the Scot feels about him and his dive into the world of football management.
The two managers will come up against each other this Saturday in north London as Arsenal take on West Ham at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League.
Moyes’ side are out of the relegation zone after last weekend’s victory and we feel that Arteta’s comments about Moyes tell us a lot about him as a person.
The Arsenal man said:
I spoke with him a few times, he has always been very supportive. He has a great belief in me and we maintain a really good relationship. Absolutely yes.
Firstly, it shows that Moyes genuinely cares about his players. It also shows his professionalism.
Wishing another manager well, especially of a rival club, is rare but Moyes did that and showed his support to the former Manchester City assistant, proving that he genuinely likes to see people that he has worked with succeed.
When Moyes was appointed as West Ham manager earlier this season, many West Ham fans were not happy with the decision to bring him back to the club.
However, through his actions and words towards Arteta, a young boss who is going through a tough phase, he has shown that the club’s fans should potentially be proud to have Moyes as their manager.
