Many West Ham United fans want to see youngster Xande Silva involved with the first-team squad soon.
The Hammers travel to north London to face Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in the Premier League this weekend.
Silva scored again for West Ham’s U23 side in the Premier League 2 this week and some fans believe he’s ready to make the step into the senior squad.
The 22-year-old has not featured for the first-team yet this season and has not even been in a match-day squad yet (Transfermarkt).
This could be partly because of his long-term absence as he missed more than six months after undergoing emergency surgery on his stomach last summer.
He’s returned to the pitch in fine goalscoring form, netting against Sunderland, Stoke City and now also Norwich City.
His current deal with the club expires at the end of next season (Transfermarkt) and many of these fans on Twitter want him to break into the first-team soon.
