West Ham United cruised to victory over Southampton on Saturday, with Michail Antonio playing a big part in helping the side to three points and supporters have been hailing his performance.
As reported on BBC Sport, the attacker scored one and assisted another as David Moyes’ men won 3-1 at the London Stadium.
Antonio was a constant threat to the Southampton defence and could have scored another, but was denied expertly by goalkeeper Alex McCarthy.
The victory takes West Ham out of the relegation zone on goal difference as they are level on points with Watford and Bournemouth.
Moyes opted to use a front two of Antonio and Sebastien Haller and the move seemed to pay off, with both players working very well together in the final third of the pitch.
The Englishman took to Twitter to react to the victory and many Hammers fans have responded to his update.
They’ve taken the chance to shower praise on the forward for his display and have shown their appreciation towards his hard work, desire and his muscular legs!
