West Ham fans raving over Haller’s rabona pass against Southampton

West Ham United secured a convincing victory over Southampton in the Premier League last Saturday.

Summer-signing Sebastien Haller played a huge part in helping the team to the three points, netting once and holding the ball up well for his teammates.

However, it wasn’t his goal which really caught the attention of the club’s fans.

In the second half, the striker played an ambitious rabona pass through to strike partner Michail Antonio, who raced through on goal but was denied by goalkeeper Alex McCarthy.

The pass was very brave as it doesn’t always work out as planned, proven by former Blackburn Rovers midfielder David Dunn’s famous failed attempt.

The Frenchman was a handful for the Southampton defence, as shown by the fact that he won 14 aerial duels, seven more than Saints defender Jan Bednarek (WhoScored).

Many fans have taken to Twitter to provide their reaction to Haller’s perfect pass, which now has over 125,000 views on the platform. Many praised him and some were slightly regretful that Antonio couldn’t finish off the move.
