West Ham fans rally behind Fabianski after Liverpool blunder

West Ham fans have rallied to the defence of goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski after his blunder against Liverpool on Monday night.

The Polish shot-stopper had a torrid night, being at fault for both of Liverpool’s first two goals, letting the ball roll in under him for the Reds’ second.

This followed a spirited West Ham performance, that saw the Hammers take the lead at Anfield thanks to Pablo Fornals.

David Moyes’ side are therefore still without a win since New Year’s Day, but will take hope from the performance at Liverpool.

The Hammers almost managed a rare win at Anfield, with Liverpool rallying to fight back and secure the victory at home thanks to goals from Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Gini Wijnaldum.

However, West Ham fans have not turned on their goalkeeper just yet, despite his errors, with many believing he has what it takes to remain as West Ham’s number one.

Several fans took to Twitter to air their views, with many standing by Fabianski.
