West Ham club insider reveals Ryan Fredericks could have serious injury

West Ham could be without Ryan Fredericks for some time after the usually reliable club insider ExWHUEmployee revealed that a scan has revealed a potentially serious injury for the defender.

Fredericks was forced off in the defeat to Manchester City in midweek, and was sent for a scan to determine how serious his injury was.

According to ExWHUEmployee, the results of the scan are not god have have revealed an injury which could keep him Fredericks out for a long time.

Fredericks has been everpresent for West Ham since his move from Fulham last summer, making 38 appearances for the Hammers.

The defender has scored two goals and has three assists in the process but he has come under a lot of criticism this season after some poor defensive play.

However, the infomration that he could be out for a long time is potentially bad news for the Hammers, as it means that David Moyes could be forced to rely soley on Pablo Zabaleta for the remainder of the campaign.

Zabaleta is now 35-years-old, and is nowhere near the player he was at Manchester City and looks like has lost a lot of the pace that he once possessed.

If this injury news is confirmed, and there’s little reason to doubt it, then West Ham’s task of avoiding relegation has just gotten that bit more difficult.
