# Kevin Nolan ready to get stuck in after West Ham return

Kevin Nolan has revealed, whilst speaking to [West Ham’s official website,](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2020/february/11-february/kevin-nolan-i-cant-wait-get-stuck) that he is ready to get stuck in upon his return to West Ham, .

The former midfielder revealed that he is very excited about becoming a coach at the Hammers, with [Nolan joining David Moyes’](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51399703) backroom staff alongside Paul Nevin.

Nolan has been out of work since [being sacked](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45314454) by Notts County in 2018, despite leading them to the League Two play-off final.

Speaking to [WHUFC.com](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2020/february/11-february/kevin-nolan-i-cant-wait-get-stuck), Nolan said:

> I’m just really looking forward to learning from \[David\] too. He’s a top fella, I’ve met him a few times outside of football at dinners and events, so to be able to work with him on a 24/7 basis and have him at your beck-and-call, no disrespect, is such an honour.

> The fact that it’s at West Ham is even better and I’m just really looking forward to getting stuck into it all!

### Read West Ham’s verdict

Nolan looks to be a good appointment for the Hammers, especially with the club in the state that they are in now.

Some West Ham fans have already touted Nolan as a future Hammers boss, with some cynically thinking that it would be cheaper for the owners to hire him next season.

> Twitter: @WestHam Next season’s manager. (@GeoffSm43725963)

> Twitter: @WestHam And when we get relegated he’ll take over from sacked Moyes because it will be cheap to hire him 👍 really think we are stupid 🙄 (@h\_hammer72)

Nolan may have struggled in his second season with Notts County, but the fact he took them to Wembley in his first season shows that he does have some knowhow as a boss and he’ll be hoping to use that coaching ability and combine it with his experiecne of playing in the top-flight, to help move the Hammers away from the relegation zone.
