West Ham fans aren’t happy with former Celtic and Norwich City forward Chris Sutton, after the pundit made comments about the current situation at the club on BBC Radio Five Live.

Sutton revealed that he believes that the fans aren’t doing a lot to help the Hammers in their current situation, with the club in turmoil on and off the pitch.

Fans are set to protest again in the coming weeks, with many unhappy with the ownership of the club. They are angry over the club’s current position, and the failure to meet promises set when the Hammers swapped Upton Park for the London Stadium.

On the pitch, it hasn’t been much better, with West Ham sitting in the relegation zone. The Hammers have simply been unable to get results, with David Moyes recording only one league win since taking charge of the club in December.

Sutton, speaking on BBC Radio Five Live’s ‘The Monday Club’, revealed that he believes the fans may be somewhat at fault for the club’s current situation.

I’ve got sympathy for the owners because the fans aren’t helping. Moaning and groaning and giving the players stick is not helping the team at this moment in time. I think there are massive problems, it’s only going to get worse with the fixtures coming up. However bad it’s been, however bad they’re performing they need the fans, whether they’re angry about the stadium, the owners, the managerial appointment, they have to get behind the team.
