# Sky Sports Charlie Nicholas predicts big defeat for West Ham against Man City

[Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/12037/11926865/charlie-nicholass-premier-league-predictions-man-city-rout-watford-boost) Charlie Nicholas has tipped West Ham to have a bad afternoon when they face Manchester City this weekend.

The Hammers go into the game in a bad run of form with David Moyes still only having earned one league win since he joined the club back in December.

West Ham will face a huge task this weekend, with the Hammers taking on second-placed Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Charlie Nicholas has predicted a big win for Manchester City, with the Scot giving Moyes’ side no chance of picking up a result.

He said on [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/12037/11926865/charlie-nicholass-premier-league-predictions-man-city-rout-watford-boost):

> It is so typical of West Ham at the moment that they occasionally turn up, put in a performance for 25 minutes, but if they lose a goal then it is game over. It is not a happy time but David Moyes will have to dig in.

He goes on to predict a 4-0 win for Manchester City.

### Read West Ham’s verdict

The Hammers will have a difficult time this weekend, with the might of Manchester City facing Moyes’ side. City are averaging over 2.60 goals per game, and have only lost six times all season, as per the [Premier League’s official website](https://www.premierleague.com/clubs/11/Manchester-City/stats?se=274).

They may have come unstuck a few times, especially during the defeats to [Norwich City](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49617989) and [Wolves,](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50862383)but Pep Guardiola will surely not want his side to slip up this weekend against the Hammers.

However, if West Ham play at their best, then they can surely give it a go. But, realistically in our opinion, it is be tough to see how Moyes’ side will get a result.
