West Ham ready to make big loss to sell Yarmolenko this summer

West Ham are reportedly ready to sell midfielder Andriy Yarmolenko this summer, and are ready to sell him at a loss, as per Football Insider.

The Ukranian joined from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2018 for a fee of £18 million, but the midfielder has struggled to make a huge impact at West Ham thanks to a lot of injuries.

As per Transfermarkt, the player suffered an Achilles tendon rupture in 2018 that kept him out for almost all of last season. This season, the player suffered a tear in the abductor muscle which is currently keeping him out of the side.

However, it now looks like West Ham are ready to sell Yarmolenko, with sources telling Football Insider that the Hammers have accepted that they will fail to recoup the fee they paid for the midfielder but they will want to get him off the wage bill.

Yarmolenko has been an expensive failure for West Ham ever since he signed, in our opinion, with the midfielder failing to produce for the Hammers on a consistent basis due to his injury problems.

Selling him at a loss obviously isn’t what West Ham want, but at this point, they will be forced to due to the player’s performances at the Hammers really not living up to the £18 million that they paid for him.

In our opinion, West Ham cutting their losses and getting rid is the best option for both parties, and the Hammers should really consider it over the summer, no matter what division they end up in.
