West Ham fans react to sale of Anthony Scully to Lincoln City

West Ham sold another member of their academy set up, with Anthony Scully joining Lincoln City on a permanent deal.

Scully, who never made an appearance for the West Ham first team, joins the Imps on an 18-month contract and joins current Hammers loanee Conor Coventry at the League One side.

The forward, who is the son of former QPR and Notts County winger Tony Scully, was in great form for the West Ham U-23 side this season, scoring 14 goals in 16 games, including two in the EFL Trophy.

Alongside this, he is a current Republic of Ireland U-21 international and has made several appearances at youth levels in Ireland.

The decision to let the player go has not gone down well with a section of the West Ham supporter base, with several taking to Twitter to vent their frustrations that the club have let yet another youth player leave the club.
