West Ham signed midfielder Tomas Soucek earlier this week and handed him his debut against Brighton on Saturday.
David Moyes thrust him straight into the starting line-up and he played the majority of the match, coming off with just five minutes to go.
The Hammers were left frustrated in the end as they were held to a 3-3 draw by Brighton, having led 2-0 and 3-1 at points in the match. Issa Diop scored once and Robert Snodgrass scored the other two for West Ham, whilst an own goal from Angelo Ogbonna and goals from Pascal Gross and Glenn Murray sealed a point for Brighton.
Soucek was awarded a WhoScored rating of 7.17 for his performance, winning five tackles, three aerial duels and making five interceptions to show off his defensive nouse.
