# West Ham keen to hijack Palace’s move for Bowen

West Ham United are eager to hijack Crystal Palace’s move for Jarrod Bowen, according to [The Daily Mail reporter Sami Mokbel](https://twitter.com/SamiMokbel81_DM/status/1222917861263495169).

Championship side Hull City are in advanced talks with Palace, according to [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11706/11921829/jarrod-bowen-crystal-palace-in-talks-to-sign-hull-midfielder), but West Ham and Newcastle United haven’t given up on a deal yet.

Palace’s offer for the 23-year-old is understood to be £16m plus add ons and the Hammers want to ambush the deal and bring the prolific player to the London Stadium instead.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Bowen, who can play on the wing and as an attacking midfielder, has got his name on the scoresheet [16 times](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jarrod-bowen/leistungsdaten/spieler/314875) in the Championship this season.

In his entire Championship career, Bowen has scored an incredible[52 goals in 117 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jarrod-bowen/leistungsdaten/spieler/314875), so there’s no wonder why there is such a battle from Premier League sides for his services.

We believe that Bowen would be the ideal addition to the Hammers squad at this time, especially with[Felipe Anderson](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7912241/West-Ham-midfielder-Felipe-Anderson-ruled-month-injury.html), [Andriy Yarmolenko and Michail Antonio](https://www.football.london/west-ham-united-fc/players/fredericks-antonio-yarmolenko-latest-west-17519875) all currently injured.

However, Palace have already agreed on a deal so it could be too late for the Hammers, but the only positive remaining is that the player himself is[yet to declare his decision.](https://twitter.com/domfifield/status/1222911333420666881)
