# West Ham fans furious with Moyes’ take on Liverpool defeat

West Ham United [fell to a 2-0 defeat](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50791641) at the London Stadium against Premier League leaders Liverpool on Wednesday evening.

The Hammers didn’t provide much of an attacking threat and despite this, manager David Moyes felt that there were plenty of [positives to take](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2020/january/29-january/moyes-we-did-lot-good-things-ultimately-we-need-take-our) from the encounter.

Sadly for him, many fans don’t agree with his verdict.

The Hammers boss also spoke about the need for his team to score goals, which many fans mocked because scoring is the aim of the game. Without goals, you can’t win.

When appointed as the manager of the club in December, Moyes claimed that [winning is what he does](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50950041), but the Hammers have only won one league match since he took over, which came on New Year’s Day.

Many fans were not pleased with the defeat and took to social media to voice their discontent at the manager for his comments after the loss, with many using sarcasm to get their point across.
