# West Ham fans react to tweet mocking club’s transfer market activity

West Ham United are yet to sign a new outfield player in this month’s transfer window.

The Hammers have [completed the signing of Darren Randolph from Championship club Middlesbrough](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51117240) and he has played in every match since his arrival.

As stated on [BBC Sport](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51117240), the Hammers paid around £4m to resign the goalkeeper.

However, the club are struggling to secure other transfer targets and have had offers refused by certain clubs.

[Sky Sports have reported](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11685/11918741/west-ham-bid-for-usa-international-aaron-long-rejected-by-new-york-red-bulls) that New York Red Bulls turned down West Ham’s loan bid for defender Aaron Long.

Some fans are getting frustrated by the club’s lack of activity in the transfer market and one West Ham fan [posted the perfect comparison to the club’s activity in the transfer market.](https://twitter.com/DiCanioVolley/status/1220999229008728064) It’s a video of a high jumper preparing to jump before backing out at the last second. These fans couldn’t help but laugh and agree.
