# Guirassy would be a good signing for West Ham

West Ham are [reportedly](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11685/11916362/serhou-guirassy-west-ham-in-talks-to-sign-amiens-striker-on-loan) interested in signing the Ligue 1 striker Serhou Guirassy.

As per [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11685/11916362/serhou-guirassy-west-ham-in-talks-to-sign-amiens-striker-on-loan), they have opened talks to sign the Amiens forward on a loan deal until the end of the season.

However, [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11685/11916362/serhou-guirassy-west-ham-in-talks-to-sign-amiens-striker-on-loan) add that the Ligue 1 side are hoping to cash in on the player and convince West Ham into a permanent deal before Friday’s deadline.

If the links to Guirassy are anything to go by, it would appear that David Moyes wants to sign a back-up for Haller. The striker has done well with Amiens this season and he could prove to be a solid addition.

West Ham have had a poor season so far and they’ll need to improve a lot during the second half of the campaign. New signings could freshen things up for them and galvanise the squad.

The Hammers have [scored](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) just 27 goals in 23 Premier League games so far and Haller has managed to find the back of the net just six times in the league ([WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/236544/Show/S%C3%A9bastien-Haller)). It’s evident that the 25-year-old needs some help in attack.

Someone like [Guirassy](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/236506/Show/Serhou-Guirassy) could share the goalscoring burden and engage the defenders with his hold up play. It would allow the likes of Haller to play with more freedom.

Guirassy is a physically imposing forward who likes to drop deep and link up with the midfielders. With ariel duels among his strengths, he is known to be very good in the air ([WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/236506/Show/Serhou-Guirassy)).

His arrival will give Moyes some much-needed tactical flexibility. [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/serhou-guirassy/profil/spieler/270541) say the 23-year-old can operate as a wide forward from the left. West Ham could have the option to play a 4-3-3 with him, Haller and Yarmolenko leading the attack.

On paper, the deal makes a lot of sense and West Ham should look to get it done this month.
