# Moyes admits Snodgrass and Masuaku set to miss West Brom clash

West Ham United manager David Moyes has revealed that Robert Snodgrass and Arthur Masuaku are set to miss the FA Cup clash with West Bromwich Albion later today.

Both players suffered injuries during the 4-1 defeat to Leicester City aT the King Power Stadium in midweek.

As quoted on [West Ham’s official website, Moyes said:](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2020/january/24-january/team-news-moyes-offers-snodgrass-masuaku-and-antonio-updates)

> We got an injury to Snodgrass and to Arthur, which I think is going rule them out of the weekend.

> Snodgrass is an inflamed tendon in his knee, and Arthur is his knee as well. He’s had fluid drawn out of his knee a couple of times, and I knew that on Wednesday night he was only going to ever be able to play 60 minutes. When it got to half-time I thought ‘that will do’.

> I don’t think they’re bad. We’ll let Arthur’s knee settle down, and Snoddy’s is a tendon which has been causing him problems in the past, and it reacted the other night.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

The injuries to both players comes at the worst possible time for the Hammers because of the important fixtures coming up.

Moyes’ side are currently in the thick of a relegation battle and losing two key first-team members is not ideal.

However, the positive is that Moyes revealed that it’s not as serious as first feared, so we believe that they could be back on the pitch soon.

There were always likely to be changes made to the starting XI for this cup clash so hopefully, the duo gets enough rest and recovery ahead of Thursday’s clash with Liverpool.
