Bristol City eyeing move for West Ham teenager Kai Corbett

Championship side Bristol City are plotting a move for West Ham United youngster Kai Corbett, according to a report on The Athletic.

The 17-year-old had a trial with the club this week and also put in an impressive display for their Under-23 side on Monday night against QPR.

As confirmed in the report, Bristol City’s first team manager Lee Johnson was present to watch Corbett and the club is set to make their decision regarding the young attacker in the next few days.

Corbett has made ten appearances in the U18 Premier League so far this season for the Hammers, getting his name on the scoresheet three times and providing one assist.

Corbett’s versatility is one of his biggest strengths. The youngster can operate as a central striker, attacking midfielder or even on either flank and we feel that it is this versatility that makes him so dangerous.

Corbett’s talents are obvious because as you can imagine, it’s not easy as a 17-year-old to come up against defenders that are significantly older than you but despite this, he still managed to put in a good display against QPR, which tells you all you need to know about him.

That’s why it’s quite surprising to see the Hammers being so open about letting Corbett leave, especially after he has been tipped to be a future star for the club.
