# West Ham fans react to Masuaku’s transfer link to Napoli

West Ham United defender Arthur Masuaku has been linked with a transfer away from the club, with [FootMercato](https://www.footmercato.net/flash-mercato/info-fm-naples-pense-aussi-a-arthur-masuaku_271698) reporting that Italian side Napoli are interested in securing his services.

The 26-year-old has made[ten appearances in the Premier League](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/arthur-masuaku/leistungsdaten/spieler/181380) so far this season for the Hammers.

These fans seem eager to let him go this month…

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

I feel that this reaction from some of the fans is pretty harsh on the left-back, who has provided [some good displays](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2017/april/23-april/masuaku-my-best-game-west-ham) for the club.

The Frenchman was [used on the left-wing](https://www.football.london/west-ham-united-fc/fixtures-results/arthur-masuaku-attacker-shows-way-17500065) by David Moyes in the 1-0 defeat to Sheffield United in their last league match.

We feel that his weak defending is a key reason why the fans want to offload him but, the club need to ensure that a replacement is lined up if they are to proceed with selling him.

This is because the last thing the team needs now is to be short on players, especially with a relegation battle looming.
