# Yarmolenko offered to Besiktas by agents

Andriy Yarmolenko’s season started so well but following [no goals and just one assist in his last nine Premier League appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/andrii-yarmolenko/leistungsdaten/spieler/69015#subnavi), he’s become a forgotten man at West Ham United.

After [tearing his abductor muscle](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/andrii-yarmolenko/verletzungen/spieler/69015) last month, Yarmolenko is yet to feature in any of Moyes’ squads since replacing Manuel Pellegrini.

According to Turkish website [Fotospor](https://www.fotospor.com/haber-besiktas-transferi-kapatan-besiktasa-surpriz-teklif-359112) though, in [Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/west-ham-attacker-offered-another-club-via-agents-director-not-convinced/), the Ukrainian may be actively looking for an exit after his agents offered him to Besiktas.

The report does claim, however, that although it’s a possible destination for Yarmolenko, a move is unlikely due to financial reasons.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Despite Yarmolenko’s [hot form](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/andrii-yarmolenko/leistungsdaten/spieler/69015) at the start of this season, scoring three goals in five Premier League starts, injuries have tarnished his progress.

The 30-year-old [has made just 25 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/andrii-yarmolenko/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/69015) since joining from Borussia Dortmund in 2018 and his squad status under Moyes is unclear.

We believe West Ham should only offload Yarmolenko this month if a replacement is acquired, especially after [Nathan Holland’s loan move to Oxford United](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2020/january/08-january/nathan-holland-joins-oxford-united-loan).

Moyes’ squad is relatively thin as it is, so we feel it wouldn’t be wise to let players who could actually make a positive impact leave mid-way through the season.

I think if he stays fit, Yarmolenko can certainly help West Ham move away from the bottom three but at this stage, it’s probably a big ‘if’.
