# West Ham have bid for Inter’s Gabriel Barbosa rejected

West Ham have had a bid for Gabriel Barbosa rejected by Inter Milan, according to [FCInterNews.](https://www.fcinternews.it/esclusive/fcin-gabigol-l-offerta-del-west-ham-all-inter-e-insoddisfacente-ora-pero-si-attende-il-rilancio-del-flamengo-327613)

The Italian outlet [report](https://www.fcinternews.it/esclusive/fcin-gabigol-l-offerta-del-west-ham-all-inter-e-insoddisfacente-ora-pero-si-attende-il-rilancio-del-flamengo-327613) that Inter have rejected an offer for Gabigol from West Ham, as they deem the terms unsatisfactory for the transfer.

The Hammers offered an initial 18-month loan with an option to buy for €20m at the end, as per [FCInterNews.](https://www.fcinternews.it/esclusive/fcin-gabigol-l-offerta-del-west-ham-all-inter-e-insoddisfacente-ora-pero-si-attende-il-rilancio-del-flamengo-327613) However, Inter have rejected the offer, with the Italian side keen to sell the Brazilian on so they can reinvest the funds in a new midfielder.

Barbosa’s record in Brazil really is impressive, with his 34 goals (via [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/gabriel-barbosa/leistungsdaten/spieler/244275/plus/0?saison=2018)) really re-igniting his career after a troubled spell with Inter, which has seen him loaned out multiple times and only playing a handful of games for the club.

The Brazilian may have struggled to get going in Europe, only netting twice during spells with Benfica and Inter (via [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/gabriel-barbosa/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/244275)), but his record in South America is superb and shows how good of a finisher he can be.

He could also offer the Hammers something different to the physical presence of Sebastien Haller, who hasn’t really set the Premier League alight with his six goals so far this season, via [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sebastien-haller/profil/spieler/181375).

Whether or not West Ham would be willing to break the bank to sign him is yet unknown. However, with the Hammers reportedly ready to spend as much as €20 million on him, they must surely have a keen interest in adding to their attack this month.
