The Hammers [overcame Gillingham](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2020/january/06-january/highlights-gillingham-0-2-west-ham-united) in the previous round thanks to goals from Pablo Zabaleta and Pablo Fornals.

Championship side West Brom advanced to this stage [by beating Charlton](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50976142). Kenneth Zohore scored the only goal of the encounter.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

There is no clear favourite in the matchup to advance into the next round of the competition because two sides have a very even [head-to-head record](https://www.soccerbase.com/teams/head_to_head.sd?team_id=2802&team2_id=2744).

The Hammers have won a total of 39 times against the Baggies and lost 40, with 25 encounters ending in a draw. However, in the FA Cup, West Ham have emerged victorious against West Brom four times and only lost twice.

This is a good chance for the London club to go on a good cup run and give themselves a shot at winning a major piece of silverware.

The Hammers have been crowned as the FA Cup champions on [three occasions](https://www.whufc.com/club/history/records-and-honours/honours) throughout their history and despite the [relegation battle](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) in the Premier League, they should try their best to make it four.
