Ajeti ready to have an impact at West Ham

West Ham United man Albian Ajeti has spoken of his desire to have a positive impact at the club.

The Hammers signed the striker from FC Basel for £8m last summer but he has struggled to cement a place in the first-team.

The 22-year-old has only played 120 minutes in the top flight so far this season and is eager to take his chance when he gets it.

As quoted on the official club website, he said:

I’m having fun. I’ll do everything to get my minutes on the pitch.

Like I said before, we from Kosovo have a different mentality. We have a big self-confidence and believe we can rise to every challenge.

It’s just important to continue to do my work as well as I can and hopefully more opportunities will come. I am ready.

Ajeti has a challenge on his hands to compete for a starting position up front with Sebastien Haller but his determined mentality is certainly impressive.

For a young player, being out of the team can become incredibly frustrating but Ajeti is only looking at the positives.

The striker needs to be ready for his chance and by the sounds of it, he is. With Michail Antonio ruled out of the clash against Sheffield United, Ajeti could be handed a chance, either from the start or off the bench.
