Italian giants AS Roma are considering a move for Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi, according to a report on HITC.
The forward has found it difficult to get enough playing time for the Blues so far this season, featuring for only 117 minutes in the Premier League.
The Hammers were reported to be considering a loan move for the Belgian international before reports emerged that the forward’s wage demands were a stumbling block for the club.
The London club are in the market for a new striker and Roma’s interest will come as a blow to West Ham hopes of securing a deal for Batshuayi.

It is a blow for the Hammers because Roma are one of the biggest and most successful clubs in Italy.
With Euro 2020 approaching, Batshuayi needs to be playing consistently to prove that he is worthy of a place in the Belgium squad.
The striker spoke of his frustration at the lack of minutes handed to him by Frank Lampard so far this term and there is expected to be a battle for his signature for the remainder of the month.
If the Hammers are serious about signing him, then they need to act quickly because fellow Premier League side Newcastle United are also eyeing a move for him.
