West Ham are reportedly in the market for a new midfielder this January, and reports suggest they may be in pursuit of Benfica’s Gedson Fernandes.
According to Sky Sports News, the Portuguese international is a target for David Moyes this month, with the new West Ham boss looking to secure the young talent for the Hammers.

The report suggests that the midfielder could be signed on an 18-month loan deal, with a view to a permanent move after the original deal expires.
The player is out of favour at Benfica, and is reportedly keen on a move to the Premier League, and prefers West Ham over a move to Man United, who have also been linked.

This looks to be a legitimate push from West Ham to sign the player, and it could be a great move for the Hammers.
The midfielder added an irons emoji to his Instagram name, and looks like he wants a move to East London.
David Moyes might just be able to get his man.
