# West Ham rule out Hugill return in January

When you think of Jordan Hugill, you think of that rather comical announcement video where he’s relishing the chance to walk out amidst ‘all the bubbles.’

The striker has shown impressive form and potential on loan at Queens Park Rangers in the Championship this season, scoring eight goals in 22 league games.

A recent update suggests West Ham United aren’t planning on recalling him though, with a club source telling [Claret & Hugh](https://www.claretandhugh.info/no-return-for-hammers-striker/):

> \[Recalling him is\] out of the question – there are clauses in Grady Diangana and Josh Cullen’s loan deals for a return but not Jordan’s. The club is hunting high and low for the best quality striker we can find in January and we are hopeful of a result in that area.

West Ham are clearly searching far and wide for a strike partner for Sebastien Haller next month, but it won’t be Hugill.

Speculation heightened when it came out that the Hammers are hoping to offload Albian Ajeti, who only made his £8million arrival in the summer.

The 27-year-old will stay at QPR for the remainder of the season though and, to be honest, his West Ham future seems fairly bleak.
